oh god, dentists. I need dental surgery before moving. I've been told six months ago, and my appointment is for exactly one week before I leave. speaking of phobic. I hate dentists!!!
ReplyDeleteit's really cheap here in Montenegro, which forces me to get work done... otherwise i would be saying, 'oh, i could do it later in england'. lol
Deletei go in this afternoon.....
"that she's old enough to entertain herself while mama runs around like a mad-woman"
ReplyDeleteThat is a golden age isn't it :)
And dentists!!! me too. I share the fear.
yes. she's always been so clingy, so it's a big deal for us.
DeleteI'm so sorry for your Godmother. Dentists are also a phobia for me but oh well, no choice right :)
ReplyDeleteSave your sanity :) keep on sinking into other realms !!! It should be a Must-do for everyone :)
i've never uttered the words 'i'm too busy to read'..... ;)
DeleteI'm very sorry to hear about your godmother. It's great to see that in spite of that (and all your other valleys), you can still see the positive.
ReplyDeleteMonica, I'm so sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteI do love reading this balance every week.... prompts me to ponder my own valleys & peaks. One of these days, I'm going to remember to write a proper post, share & join you!!

Deleteso sorry to hear about your godmother, i know that can't be easy. and the phone bill...i feel your pain. the mr. has been having to make a lot of int'l calls for a project and the last few months ours has been well over $500 :(
ReplyDeletebut the book, sweet relief and escape. i enjoyed that one, hope you are as well!
horrid, especially when i wasn't supposed to have ANY charges. i somehow clocked it up thinking it was hardly any use. ugh
DeleteSo sorry for your godmother. I'm sending much prayers and love towards you and your family. Running around like a mad woman... I hope you can see the fun in that! Also... I should follow you with the healthy eating thing...really!
ReplyDeletethank you.
Deleteyes, usually carbs see me through stress, but i went through that and somehow out the other side.
Hello Monica, I am so sorry for your loss - losing someone you love is (I unfortunately know from experience) very hard. I love your idea of keeping it real though, how there is beauty in life even when parts of it are hard... thank you for visiting my blog and I am looking forward to reading more about your adventures in England!
ReplyDeletelovely to see you here. thank you for your kind words.
DeleteSorry to hear about your grandmother. Lovely list - hope the moving/packing goes well! Enjoy England!
ReplyDeletewhew, those are some deep valleys. But thank goodness she can entertain herself now! YES!!!! I remember when that happened and it was like a whole new world. I am not even going to mention that "d" thing you have to have done. Typing it would be to awful for me. Hope you have a good weekend. You will survive! xo

i did enjoy it, as well as the forgotten garden, read a couple of years back. nice easy escapism.
DeleteSo, so sorry for your loss Mon. Hope M is ok. And that phone bill is a doozy! Not what you need right now. But wow, she wrote the shopping list herself?! Fantastic! And a good read is always bliss! I have still to read that one, but may get it.
ReplyDeletethanks hun. the reading really is a sanity saver.
DeleteA good, good reminder. I hope you "prove your mettle" with grace and vigor in this valley.

AND.....so sorry to hear about your godmother passing....that's gotta be hard when you were trying to see her in time.
ReplyDeleteI totally feel your fear of the dentist (more than you can imagine)
How awesome that your little one can write lists now!!! Learning to read and write is so exciting....there will be no stopping her now - soon she will be reading that fiction with you!
i know! i couldn't stop her reading and writing even if i wanted to!
DeleteSo sorry to hear about your godmother Mon, I hope she was able to pass peacefully... And those terrible charges!!--I had some unexpected large ones too this week--grrrr. And the dentist, uggh, horrible but necessary (I cringe at that combo..). But I am doing a little happy dance for all of your peaks!! Yay for Miss 4 and for you! Yay for escaping into fiction!! Yay for avoiding stress eating!!! And you are almost there!! I really hope that once you get there you can put your feet up, relax, and be amazed at what you have accomplished in the last several weeks, Mon. Big hugs...
ReplyDeletexo
thanks darlin', i know you're in my corner.
Deletethe loss of a loved one is even harder when we don't get to say goodbye. I'm jealous of the time you have (scratch that) the time you TAKE to escape into fiction.
ReplyDeletehugs!
