2 good reads makes for brain-soul satisfaction
the sun shone generously
so exterior works continue
(even into Sunday because they forecast rain)
new green teas to explore
storing and packing
her coughing persists
and she misses her daddy who is right outside yet faraway in work
one night of decent sleep
we frolicked amongst daisies and sunbeams
an emotional breakthrough brought peace
reading in the garden
while Miss 4 and the stray doggie tumbled in grass
weekending
Welcome to the week friends - which sends us into May tomorrow! - hope it starts well for you.
Frolicking amongst daisies and sunbeams, sounds just the kind of tonic you need!

Sunshine and a breaththrough bringing peace sounds perfectly harmonious. Your teas look intriguing. Enjoy a beautiful Monday and hoping for a cough free day.

ReplyDeleteemotional breakthroughs...so good. i always find myself full of energy after one - enjoy!
ReplyDeleteaww. you still have the stray doggie. so sweet!
ReplyDeletekudos on the emotional breakthrough.
hope her cough gets better.
I just got over the worlds most annoying cough. I resorted to cough syrup. something I haven't done for about 20 years or more. not sure I would give it to my kids, but then again, they didn't have the cough I did.
coughs suck.
XO
i use a herbal remedy, but only bother with it at night. it eases it.
DeleteI do hope her cough is better, could it be allergies? They are awful around here (PA). Green tea is my all time fave. Great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteshe has a lingering cold. PA? Pennsylvania usa? :)
Deleteuck on the still-coughing...woo-hoo on new tea and breakthroughs and daisies and sunbeams...

love and light
More light than dark in that list. One decent night's sleep is better than none. I hope your girl's cough improves and you get lots more lovely sleep! x
ReplyDeletetough moments but has ended on a high note. :)
DeleteSounds like (other than your poor baby's cough) you had a lovely week. You've also reminded me to read The Age of Innocence again. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous pics! Love that filter.
ReplyDeletereading this I'm feeling inclined to brew some green tea in the morning instead of the usual coffee or english breakfast...... somewhere along the lines I left green tea behind and I'm not sure why. yep, tomorrow morn I will brew some and perhaps throw in some rose petals.
ReplyDeletethe sleep! oh, the wonders that works on us, huh? my girl, who is a bit over 2 years old (and still nursing at night, still waking a couple/few times a night) slept until 6:30am this morning in HER bed before crawling into mine~ big news around here. I'm hoping it sticks. It's go to some day, right?
cheers~
i hear you! that would be huge news here. we co-cleep and am happy for it but could use breaks, she's so restless and i'm such a light sleeper.
Deleteyes, brew some up, it's lovely stuff. :)
we co-slept for quite a while and then put a mattress on the floor in her room a few months back. typically, I end up in there with her, but as of late we are all getting a bit more sleep in our "own" rooms. breaks can be very good!
Deletesipping my tea now~ my stash of green is oldish, but still tasty
May already, good lordy! Hope all goes well with your packing:)
ReplyDeletei know! madness really ;)
DeleteLove the pictures Monica! :) and it sounds like you had a pretty good week!
